BioVie Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, develops drug therapies to treat neurological and neurodegenerative disorders, and advanced liver disease in the United States. The company develops BIV201, that is in phase 3 for the treatment of life-threatening complications of liver cirrhosis and ascites due to hepatitis, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, and alcoholism. It also develops Bezisterim, an investigational, novel, orally administered small molecule that is In Phase 3 clinical trial for the treatment of patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease; and in Phase 2b clinical trial to treat Parkinson's disease, as well as for the long COVID program. The company was formerly known as NanoAntibiotics, Inc. and changed its name to BioVie Inc. in July 2016. BioVie Inc. was incorporated in 2013 and is headquartered in Carson City, Nevada.
